Sell the thinking, not the hours
What I actually bought when I paid three thousand euros for copy
A few years ago I paid three thousand euros for the copy on my first website. I would do it again tomorrow.
From the outside, that looks reckless now: three thousand euros for words?! When a machine can write you a version in ten seconds for nothing. If the words were the thing, I overpaid by about 2980 euros.
But the words are not what I paid for, believe it or not. At first I thought I was buying sentences, clever crafted copy. Then I watched how the writer worked and replied to the sharper questions about my business than I had ever asked myself. The lines I was proud of, cut! Yikes!
The ones that landed for my clients, we kept. I understood what the money was for: the judgment behind the writing, knowing what my business should say and how to make it sound like me and nobody else.
That judgment is the thing the machine still cannot sell. AI hands you words for free, but it will not tell you which words, or for whom. Sentences are cheap; the decisions underneath them are not.
Now turn that around. If people pay real money for that judgment, and they do- I did- then that judgment is what you should be selling: the call only you can make. The machine already gives away the output, almost for free.
One of my clients, a paid-ads consultant, built his whole business on that. He took the judgment he brings to every new account, his read on what is actually broken, and put it at the center of the offer.
A survey feeds a system; AI drafts the report based on its judgment, and he spends his time on the part that matters: the decisions he can make for his client. In his words: "That used to take me two and a half days per client. Now it takes me less than half an hour." He does not sell the two and a half days; he sells the judgment and lets the machine handle the output.
Here is the two-minute version for you. Take your main offer and write down, in one line, what you charge for.
If that line names a thing you hand over, a site, a report, you are pricing the output.
Now write a second line that names the decisions only you can make for that client.
That second line is your real offer. It almost always deserves a higher price, and it almost always takes more nerve to sell than the output itself.
Holding that nerve and rebuilding the offer so the price sits on the judgment is not something most people manage by willpower alone.
It is what the Solo Accelerator is built for: an ongoing room where you reprice your offer and get told the truth about it while you actually ship it.
